RECENT EVENTS AT GRACE (August 23, 2010) Things have been pretty active here at GRACE since our Patriotic Service. On Sunday, June 27 Bro. Jack Holden and his family stayed with us and Bro. Holden preached in our morning and evening services. His messages were timely and several folks spoke of the help they received from God's Word being preached. Sister Holden and Rebekah sang several songs that were a blessing to help complement both the spirit in the services and the messages. We are grateful to the Holden family for being a blessing to us and a help to our church.
We've also conducted two SUPER SATURDAY SERVICES (July 24 & August 21) and what great days they were. Our people put so much work and effort into making these days a success and and they generally run very smoothly. The games, the gifts, the preaching and teaching all work to make for SUPER SATURDAYS at GRACE! A special thank you to Bro. Jeremy Johnson, one of the preachers in our church, for preaching a great message at August's SUPER SATURDAY! He encouraged the young people to stay faithful and to trust the Lord with the situations they face in life just as Daniel did. If God could take care of Daniel, He can take care of us, too. We were also blessed to have the Harman Rutledge family with us on Wednesday, August 18 for our mid-week service. Bro. Rutledge and his family sang a couple of songs and presented their burden for the people of Thailand. Then Bro. Rutledge preached a great message to encourage us to get under the burden of getting the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the world. For more information on this fine family, check out their website at www.totheuttermost.org. PATRIOTIC SERVICE (July 14, 2010) On Saturday, June 26, 2010, our adults and young people presented a program entitled "God Bless America." We had a great day! The day was centered around honoring our military personnel for the sacrifices they have made to keep our country free. We had representatives from each branch of service and some of our local dignitaries showed up in support of the day. It was our great honor to have the Mayor of Warrenton, Mr. Tony Mimbs, and the Mayor of Camak, Mrs. Brenda Cooper, in attendance for the service. Our church gave each representative of the military and our local dignitaries a small gift as a token of our appreciation for their service and our church received a Resolution from Mayor Mimbs, honoring our church for honoring the military personnel. WOW! We are so thankful for the honor and we display the plaque in our church foyer! Thank you, Mayor Mimbs, for your kindness!
SUPER SATURDAY V (June 2, 2010) The two young men who devised the games for those in attendance did a great job. Part of the competition was that each team had a bucket full of water at one end of a course and an empty bucket at the other end. The goal for the teams was to fill the empty bucket with the water from the full bucket. The trick was that they had to do it with a sponge! It was fun to watch the people try to catch the water in their hands! Because of a full month in June, our next SUPER SATURDAY SERVICE will be in July! Keep checking for more updates!
SUPER SATURDAY IV (April 20, 2010) April 17, 2010 will always be remembered. What a great Super Saturday! We had our highest attendance ever (62 total - 39 guests/23workers) and we also had two people make professions of faith in Jesus Christ! We are looking forward to next month and can't wait to see what God will do in May!
REVIVAL SERVICES (April 5, 2010) SUPER SATURDAY III (March 30, 2010) On March 27, 2010, Grace Baptist Church hosted its third Super Saturday Service. What a great day we had! Super Saturday is always an exhausting day but it is always an enjoyable day! We plan to have another one in April. Keep a check on our website for the date of Super Saturday IV!
LADIES FELLOWSHIP
